Schiff: Trump disclosing Speaker's war zone travel "irresponsible"

Yes, Trump cancelling Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trip to Afghanistan, with a stop in Brussels, was completely petty and sophomoric, but, oh yeah, of course, it's also dangerous. As pointed out by Rep. Adam Schiff, chairman of the house intelligence committee, the President of the United States just divulged the war zone travel plans of the third most powerful person in our government; there's a reason why we didn't know about this trip until Trump cancelled it. We generally don't let our enemies know when members of our government are going to be in the neighborhood.

"The president's decision to disclose a trip that a speaker is making to a war zone was completely and utterly irresponsible in every way."

And not only is it petty, sophomoric, and irresponsible/dangerous, but it's also hypocritical, as pointed out by Pelosi's spokesperson, Drew Hammill.

"The President traveled to Iraq during the Trump Shutdown as did a Republican CODEL led by Rep. Zeldin."

But, you might say, that was in the past, when no one knew the shutdown would be going on this long, now is now... Well, about that.

Yeah...
