In a tweet, Trump announced that Matthew G. Whitaker, Chief of Staff to Attorney General Jeff Sessions will be the new Acting Attorney General. But, what about Jeff Sessions?
In a follow up tweet, Trump thanked Sessions, the country's top law enforcement official for almost two years, for his service.

In his resignation letter, Sessions confirmed he was fired.
"At your request, I am submitting my resignation."
